Milan’s Palazzo Reale is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the 16th Century painter Arcimboldo. According to this article in La Repubblica a Japanese company will sponsor the restoration and cleaning of Rome’s Piramide Cestia. The structure will be repaired and reinforced and a new entrance for visitors will be set up. This follows the news that the Tods company will be paying for the costly restoration of the Colosseum. The article notes that given the precarious state of many monuments and the lack of government funding to maintain them, many more such sponsors will be needed in the coming months and years.
