NPR’s report about the wine spa Belle Uve in Torgiano, a medieval borgo near Perugia, describes the health and beauty benefits of wine treatments. Torgiano is also home to the Lungarotti Winery, which produces some of Umbria’s finest wines, and to the well-regarded restaurant Le Tre Vaselle.
Eataly is a specialty food and wine market that first opened in Turin. A new outpost is set to open in New York August 31st. It will be a huge store – they say 50,000 square feet – dedicated to “the best Italy has to offer.” It will include boutique eateries, a microbrewery, espresso bars, a gelateria, a panino bar and more. The Turin shop is fantastic so we can’t wait to see the New York version!
